Fordingbridge Avon Bathers (FAB) is born!
We are a collaboration between Fordingbridge Greener Living, FLOW CIC and other water users. We'll be campaigning to get the River Avon at Fordingbridge Recreation Ground designated as an inland Bathing Water.

Weekly bacterial testing starts in Fordingbridge and Downton
Thanks to funding from Surfers Against Sewage we are collecting weekly water samples that are sent to an accredited laboratory and analysed for bacteria such as E-Coli. This mirrors the Environment Agency bathing water testing. When we have collected enough samples we will start sharing this information, although a whole seasons data is needed to give an equivelent bathing water status.

Application Submitted!
We are pleased to announce we submitted our bathing water application to DEFRA just before the deadline of 31st October. Thank you to everyone that supported the application, we'll share news when we get it,

Sampling Continues
We've finished our 'Bathing Water Season' sampling and will be sharing the results soon. We have a couple of fantastic volunteers who are carrying on the sampling up until christmas, all funded by Surfers Against Sewage.
